Rare guitars from the Spencer Collection (Royal Academy of Music)
The Spencer Collection is one of the most important music collections in the world. Robert Spencer (1932-1997) was one of the exponents of early music in England, and during many decades gathered thousands of items for his collection with particular focus on lute and guitar manuscripts and first editions, instruments and historical documents. The Spencer Collection is now hosted by the Royal Academy of Music, London, where this video was recorded. We are immensely grateful to the Academy's Museum and Library teams, who gave us full support in preparing the instruments and scores for this recording to take place. Selected scores, edited by Fabricio Mattos as performed in this video, are available here: https://www.fabriciomattos.com/store/...
