Environmental and Health concerns have resulted in a restriction of halogen-based chemistries in flame retardant polymer systems. While highly effective in fire suppression, halogens are being phased out of use in many locations around the world. This webinar takes an in depth look at the changing regulations and how the polymer industry is responding to those changes. Due to its unique chemistry and good economics, polycarbonate can meet many of these changes with non-halogen formulations, while maintaining many of its excellent flame retardant and physical properties.
