I restored a 50-year-old abandoned clay village house from the ground up — clearing the land, fixing the roof, and rebuilding every room inside. The house had been empty for decades, overgrown and forgotten. I started outside — cutting back the grass and brush that had taken over the yard, clearing a path back to the building itself.
