Study history to connect to ourselves and the world around us. | Lydia Burt | TEDxYouth@Abbotsleigh
As a recent graduate and a passionate student of history, Lydia's talk highlights the value of lifelong learning and the importance of connecting to the past in meaningful ways. Lydia draws on her own background and professional experience to encourage us to ask 'why' and provides examples of how we can practically apply history to better understand ourselves, identify what's important and how to face the future. Lydia Burt is an Abbotsleigh Old Girl (2013) and went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts at the University of Sydney, where she was the Honorary Secretary of the Women’s College in 2016 and was actively involved in the Network of Women as a student mentor.
