THE HISTORY OF THE KROU PEOPLE The Kru are one of the largest peoples in West Africa. They are found in almost three countries, including Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. They are divided into several ethno-linguistic groups and further subdivided into clans. The Kru have a rich culture and history that deserves to be understood. Their location, their relationship with Europeans, and slavery give us an interesting and different perspective on the generally accepted narrative on these issues.
