Una splendida Dea egizia a Firenze: Il bassorilievo di Maat dalla Valle dei Re al Museo Archeologico
One of the masterpieces of the Egyptian Museum of Florence (which is actually an important section of the Archaeological Museum) is the splendid relief with the head of the goddess Maat from the tomb of Seti I, in the Valley of the Kings. It was one of the fruits of the famous Franco-Tuscan expedition along the Nile with Champollion visiting Egypt to test the validity of his interpretation of hieroglyphics, 1828-1829. Ippolito Rosellini brought about 2000 finds from Egypt to Florence
