Diversity and Inclusion Summit 2016 - Diversity is the new Nationality

Speaker: Capt. Raghu Raman- RIL Diversity in an organization is not just a ‘good to have’ entry in the ‘check-list’, nor it is limited to gender and LGBT group. It is an indispensable instrument to be imbibed in the culture of the organizations and encompass various other forms such as age, generation, disability, religion, region, culture, language, race, experience, education, and economic level. There is empirical data in form of business success stories which validates that each type of diversity has a positive impact as it makes the organization more productive, increases its innovation capacity and brings flexibility to adapt to change. Diversity also encourages work force collaboration, increased customer base and adds to the business reputation.
