Filmed during the summer of 2023 along Inlandsbanan in northern Sweden. The video is a compilation of clips from the everyday life on the tourist traffic which is open on the line during every summer, which has been the case since 1993. The traffic is done by the company Inlandsbanan AB which is owned by the 19 municipalities that the railway passes through, and is operated by the company Inlandståg with the train Y1. Today there are 4 Y1-units in service at Inlandsbanan; 1314, 1328, 1348 och 1356. They were manufactured by Fiat in Italy during the years 1979-1980 (some were actually built by Kalmar Verkstad workshop in Sweden). The trains were previously in service at Östgötatrafiken (Östergötland) and Krösatågen (Småland) and are today powered by Volvo engines since the ones from Fiat were not so good in the Swedish climate. Inlandsbanan is 1288 km long and goes all the way from Kristinehamn to Gällivare, although there is only traffic between Mora and Gällivare today (except for a short bit between Kristinehamn and Filipstad). The lines operated by the tourist traffic during the summer are Östersund västra - Morastrand and Östersund Central - Gällivare. The railway was built in different parts between 1907 and 1937, when the entire line was completed!
