I Lost My Wife To Cancer, Then My Second Wife Was Diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma!

When Tawanna applied to be a kidney donor for Sera, a young girl she was close with, she thought she was about to give the ultimate gift. She passed every test perfectly—until the very last meeting with her surgeon. A single "odd-looking" lymph node led to a biopsy that changed everything. Tawanna didn't have a single symptom, but the tests revealed she had a type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma called follicular lymphoma. The very act of trying to save someone else’s life ended up uncovering a "life sentence" of her own. For her husband, Barry, this was a waking nightmare. Having already lost his first wife to cancer, he knew the "verbiage" and the grueling road of chemo and radiation all too well. But as they soon discovered, Tawanna’s journey with follicular lymphoma would look very different from anything they had experienced before. She has been on watch and wait since the beginning of her diagnosis, and even though Tawanna hasn’t experienced treatment, her and Barry still have to work through the good, bad, and ugly moments.
