གཞས། ཁ་རག་རི། Kharag Ri

I hope you enjoy listening to this beautiful, traditional folk song from the Ngari region of Tibet. As a TIPA alumnus, I feel deeply honored to revive "Kharag Ri"—a beloved song originally researched and brought to light by TIPA artists in the early 1990s. The song was originally learned from the late Kharag master, A Sherab la, from Ladakh, India. Because this piece is a global favorite among my YouTube viewers, I want to dedicate this performance to his memory. I am also incredibly fortunate to share this journey with my long-time co-artist, Gyangtse Tsering Youdon La (GT Youdon). We have shared the screen, stages, and live shows together for many years.
