The Coathangers - Go Away
Shot and edited by director Jason Travis, the video for The Coathanger's Go Away is not only a look into the dynamics the girls share as band mates and friends (even while on tour), but also a glimpse into how hard they work to keep it all going. The third video from 2011's Larceny & Old Lace (Suicide Squeeze Records) features the presence of a ghostly Julia Kugel singing over the looping, shifting, and reversing imagery which speaks to the often plaintive temporal nature of life, relationships, and tolerance for complacency. Shooting took place over a period of a week as Travis accompanied the band on tour from Atlanta to New York as they mangled stages in major cities along the way. They even stopped by a rural farm to pet horses, shoot guns, and catch a unique perspective of life.
