1987 Surfers Paradise International Raceway:The Last Race ATCC R6

1987 was the last year for Surfers Paradise International Raceway before it was closed down.. Keith Williams sold the raceway in 1984.. I (Tim) have fond memories of this circuit, it was one of my favourites.. after Oran Park & Amaroo Park.. all sadly now housing estates.. Good to see this race again in one video, trust that you will enjoy the memory.. some great drives in this race.. Happy New Year to all our subscribers.. Race tape from the Colin Bond VHS collection, Delayed by a week due to flooding, this would turn out to be the final time the ATCC ventured to Surfers Paradise Raceway before it closed down at the end of the year. Grice was scheduled to miss this race as it clashed with the World 600 NASCAR race, but Commodore numbers were maintained as the HDT welcomed back Gary Scott, Brock finally debuting his new VL.
