Teach Me Tuesday: What New NICU Nurses Need to Learn During Their First Year

The first year of NICU nursing can feel overwhelming because new nurses are learning much more than bedside tasks. They are learning how to organize complex care, recognize changes from a baby’s baseline, communicate with providers, navigate unit policies, and gradually build clinical judgment. In this week’s NICU nursing education video, we look at the systems that can help a new NICU nurse become safer and more confident during the first year.
