SAGE-Fuel Workshop - June 2026: Cloud NGFW for Azure Onboarding with SCM - Part 1

In this video series by Charles Buege of Fuel User Group, we get to talk with Jose Manzano, assisted by Ahmad Alkhatib, about how to implement Cloud NGFW as a service in Microsoft Azure. During this initial video, Jose goes through the process of what lead to making CNGFW into the service that it is today and why it was developed in the first place - to replace the complexity and maintenance of doing this entire process manually. He shows some of the services that are handled by the CNGFW compared to both the standard Azure Firewall as well as the self-managed VM-Series firewall. We then get a summary of the overall deployment architecture of how Azure Virtual WANs work and then how licensing and activation are handled. We wrap up this first video with the pre-deployment steps that need to be done in your Azure environment. This video was recorded in June, 2026.
