San Juan de los Terreros. Castillo y Geoda Gigante. Pulpí. Almería

A different kind of trip: a map of Andalusia with spectacular videos… on our website! http://canalandaluciaturismo.es On the border between the Almería coast and the Region of Murcia lies San Juan de los Terreros, a small village belonging to the municipality of Pulpí. Here, the sea, the beaches, and its unique charm make it the last coastal treasure of eastern Andalusia. The town's most distinctive monument is the castle, built in 1764 by King Charles III on a promontory offering panoramic views of much of the Almería and Murcia coastlines. Pulpí is also home to a great treasure: its Giant Geode. Discovered in 1999 in the Pilar de Jaravía area, this jewel is a major tourist attraction for the municipality, as it is a unique phenomenon due to the dimensions, perfection, size, and transparency of its crystals.
