We DIYed a 1966 Ford Econoline into a camper van and set off from Shonan, where we met in 2021. With the desire to establish a base in a stress-free surfing location, we moved out of our apartment and all our belongings and set off on the road. After living the van life for about a year and a half, we traveled around Japan's surf spots. Shoko and Tama are a couple living in Shonan who share a common hobby of surfing. They met at a surf school drinking party. They shared the same favorite style of surfing and similar tastes. They felt comfortable and enjoyed being together, and were drawn to each other. They started dating three months after meeting, and started a YouTube channel to celebrate their one-year anniversary. Tama loves American cars, and Shoko loves traveling. Neither of them had ever been exposed to American cars or travel, But as they started dating, they began to appreciate each other's passions. We modified an old American van (Ford Econoline) and started living the car camping/van life/campervan lifestyle. After traveling around Japan's surf spots for about a year and a half, we ended up in an old house deep in the mountains of Miyazaki.
