If you like this I also did a 22 minute cover suite of The Sound Of Water:    • Outer Wilds | The Sound Of Water Cover Suite   I wanted to do another Outer Wilds cover and really expand on it with multiple movements of my own arrangements so this isn't just another really long ambient song (though there are lots of ambient moments). Considering as of release, this is the 3rd Outer Wilds cover I've done for this project alone, I would think it goes without saying how much this game and Andrew's work on the OST means to me but Last Dream Of Home and the other songs I incorporated themes in this suite from like A Dream Of Home, Elegy Of The Rings, and The Sound Of Water especially hit so hard. There's such a profound bittersweet melancholy and fondness that I can't help but get swept into. Outer Wilds and Echoes Of The Eye are extremely challenging narratives for me because I personally struggle a lot with mortality. The messages of acceptance are tough to grapple with because I would love to be ok with everything Outer Wilds wants to teach me to be ok with but I find it's incredibly hard to come to terms with the limited time we have to see all the beauty in the world. I think I could live 100 lifetimes and not get sick of staring into the night sky, camp fires or the smell of pine trees. This cover suite is meant to try to convey the push and pull of going back and forth within "I know I should accept this... but..."
