João is from Rio de Janeiro, the son of iconic singer Elis Regina and composer Ronaldo Bôscoli. A music producer, arranger, composer, and instrumentalist, he is the founder of the independent label Trama, which has released over 3,000 CDs and DVDs, and owner of one of the largest recording studio complexes for film soundtracks, miniseries, and games in Latin America. At age 11, João began his career as a singer and drummer, releasing his first album, Comissão de Frente. As a producer, he has worked with major names in Brazilian music, such as Simoninha, Max de Castro, Milton Nascimento, Paulinho da Viola, Nelson Sargento, Elza Soares, Lenine, Jorge Ben Jor, César Camargo Mariano, and Arnaldo Antunes.
