After 55 Years... I Finally Saw It
I didn't wake up today planning to make this video. I simply decided to spend part of Independence Day visiting a local nursing home because these last four years have been about rebuilding something I lost... my own independence. I thought I was going there to spend time with people who had lost theirs. Instead, they taught me a deeper lesson about freedom than I expected. I met veterans who sacrificed for this country, listened to stories I'll never forget, and left with a completely different perspective on the life I've been rebuilding. Sometimes the most meaningful moments are the ones we never planned. Happy Independence Day, and thank you to every veteran and military family for the sacrifices you've made. #StartingOverAfter50 #IndependenceDay #LifeAfter50 #PersonalGrowth #Veterans #RebuildingLife #Freedom
