【飛行機旅行記】みぞか号で天草へ!　＜天草ステイ編＞　イルカ三昧の休日

This is a travel log of the day I spent in Amakusa. The main purpose of staying in Amakusa is to meet the Amakusa dolphins that became Mizoka's model⭐ The dolphins in the Hayasaki Strait, located between the north side of Amakusa Shimojima and the Shimabara Peninsula, are rooted dolphins, which are rare in Japan. Dolphins usually migrate in search of food, but thanks to the abundance of seafood on Tsuji Island, the dolphins here do not migrate and live here all year round. Therefore, you can meet dolphins regardless of the season, and the encounter rate is said to be 98%! Another dolphin spot is Sea Donut, an underwater aquarium off the coast of Maejima on the east side of Amakusa Kamijima. This is the only floating aquarium in western Japan, and you can see dolphins raised in an outdoor pool. The special feature here is that even the general public can go down to the poolside and see the dolphins up close! Watching the dolphins jump from the same perspective as the trainer is impressive due to its height and closeness!
