Fender has two major problems that go deeper than the lawsuit

I love Fender Guitars, but that doesn't mean I love the people who currently own that name. Why is everyone so upset about the lawsuit and copyright issues with the Fender Stratocaster? I think it's because of these two major problems that are underlying everything for the Fender Corporation.
