I tried hiking with ONLY other sports gear

I love a specialised tool, but what if hiking brands aren't actually special? I’m banning myself from using a single piece of actual hiking gear on my latest solo hike to see if there are any hidden gems we've been missing. From polarised fishing glasses to trampoline socks (they're very grippy), I raided Decathlon, Vinted, and my own wardrobe, to see if I could build a super functional (and super mismatched) hiking loadout using gear from 8 different sports.
