Walt Disney World surprise Sept 4th - 9th 2011

So, how does one get their kids at Walt Disney World without them knowing they're STAYING there? THE PLAN: I had to go to Orlando for business, so the Mrs & I decided to take the opportunity for a family vacation.. The plan was, after the 15+ hour drive to Orlando, I would take care of what business I had early Sat Sept 3rd, then we would go spend the afternoon/night with family & Sunday morning we would get up & head further south, about another 4 hours to our next destination. Well, the next morning a friend of mine called, he saw we were in Orlando & wanted to meet us for lunch at the Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World where he was staying. What do you know, he's there too! But, wow, such a long trip already and now we will be at Walt Disney World (our families favorite vacation spot!!) & we can't stay?! Uhg... We got to the Hotel lobby, asked for Russ to see if he was there... surprisingly, he wasn't! (wink wink) Truth be known, after my business in Orlando, our destination was Walt Disney World & a 6 day vacation package! With all the road signs & advertisements on the way to the park I knew the girls would figure out what Mom & Dad were up to.. so that's why I had my pal call me (LOL) so we could meet "at the resort".. that was our ticket in! So we could actually get there & in the lobby, without them suspecting, we were not there to meet him at all, we were there to check-in! Aren't I a stink'a?!? It was a lot of fun planning this trip & even more fun sharing it with our two girls! My wife & I honeymooned at The Grand Floridian back in Aug of '93 & spent 3 days at the parks, seems fitting that we come back every now & then to share the magic & the fun that we always have!
