Questo posto in Italia è pieno di uccelli selvatici!

Escaping the city, I spent two days in Friuli, in the Isonzo River Mouth Nature Reserve, one of the most important wetland environments of the Northern Adriatic and a key stop along European migratory routes. My goal was to observe the Greylag Geese (Anser anser), which during the winter period find shelter here in an area that is essential for resting, feeding, and stopping over during their seasonal migrations. I had never seen such large flocks before, and witnessing their coordinated and powerful flight was a truly moving experience. In addition to the Greylag Geese, the reserve hosts an extraordinary variety of species: Greater White-fronted Geese (Anser albifrons), Flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus), Northern Lapwings (Vanellus vanellus), and numerous birds of prey, including Western Marsh Harrier (Circus aeruginosus), Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), and Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis). A place where biodiversity reveals itself in all its richness, and where birdwatchers and wildlife photographers can observe and document some of the most fascinating bird species of European wetlands. Note: due to a technical problem with the microphone, I had to use the audio recorded with my phone. I apologize if in some moments the sound quality is not optimal. The wind did not help either; I recommend watching with subtitles. #nature #animals #birds ============================================================================== Follow me also on: Instagram:   / roberto_porro_wildlife   Facebook:   / robertoporrowildlife   TikTok:   / roberto_porro_wildlife   Web: https://www.robertoporro.com
