We love those Gili Islands and were even more stoked to find out there are another handful of Secret Gili Islands tucked closer into Lombok mainland. When it comes to things to do in the Gili Islands a snorkel mission sounds ideal! How does it compare to Bali though? In all honesty, there's pros and cons. With less tourism comes more challenges, Bali often runs as a well oiled machine for tourism but cleary has traffic and other annoyances. Lombok is quiet, with far less tourism, but the tours on offer are more scarce and less organised. Personally, we loved this crazy day tour to the islands though!
