Wouter van Eck researched the sustainability of agricultural systems in Kenya and was the Agriculture & Food campaign leader at Friends of the Earth Netherlands (Milieudefensie). In 2009, he began planting and operating the Ketelbroek Food Forest. At the symposium "Fruit Growing vs. Food Forest," Wouter van Eck gave this lecture, which facilitated a dialogue between professional fruit growers and modern food foresters.
