FE11 Random Reclass Run - Chapter 6: Fire Emblem

Challenge playlist:    • FE11 (Shadow Dragon) Random Reclass Run   Random Reclasses for Chapter 6: Shiida - Pegasus Knight Cain - Curate Abel - Archer Jagen - Paladin Ogma - Dark Mage Barst - Hunter Bord - Pirate Lena - Archer Merric - Archer Wolf - Hero Hardin - Curate Wendell - Sage Cord - Knight Our first indoor chapter, which doesn't mean all that much in the grand scheme of things, as nobody actually dismounts. Curate Cain, Archer Abel, Paladin Jagen and Dark Mage are all lucky/unlucky enough to maintain their classes from the previous chapter. Jagen gets the most out of it, though I don't use him all that much considering his lack of low-turn potential, intending to kill him off at some point to make room for characters with better base stats who can get more out of reclassing into jobs where they have no weapon rank to speak of, such as Athena. I have not two but three healers this time, which is way more than necessary and enables me to advance at a slower pace, feeding whoever I want whatever exp I want them to get. Merric gets a forged iron bow to chip away and kill things more easily, and everybody is generally capable of doing -something-. At some point, I contemplated whether it was a good idea at all to continue the run on H2 difficulty. My initial fear of it getting too hard was unfounded (even the physical characters attacking as dark mages isn't as bad as it sounds), but I did find a good solution to the difficulty being on the easier side, especially following my earlier completion of the No Warp No Forge LTC 5 years ago. It's simple - I just have to restrain myself from using the on-map saves and resetting the chapter when I don't get a level-up I don't like. This should make the party much more comparable to the H2 opposition in strength. Shiida gets her only lance-using class unpromoted in this chapter, but I shy away from wearing down the Win Spear too much and by the time I get to the boss I find that Shiida cannot take a single silver lance attack from his at full health - I chose against using a seraph robe. I also remain fairly adamant when it comes to my volition to not forge it at any point in the run, as that would erase much of the themed run's difficulty - 33% of promoted Shiida's classes can use the spear, after all. Much like 5 years ago during the No Warp No Forge LTC, I fail to chase down the Killing Edge thief who is the quickest to run away. There's not much competition for Nabarl's KE regardless, though if I'd managed to keep Shiida safe from that enemy archer, I think I actually would've killed that thief with Jagen + Shiida the turn before he got away. It's no big deal, I guess. The only new unit in this chapter would be Rickard. I get him killed much like I did with Julian, and his thieving utility will largely be matched by Marth's Fire Emblem, acquired in this very chapter, and Marth is in no hurry to seize on this playthrough, meaning he can open any chests, visit villages and take enemy kills he wants.
