SBS Transit 117 Hyperlapse

Introduced in 2015, SBS Transit Bus Service 117 is a trunk service plying between Sembawang and Punggol, passing through Canberra, Yishun, Seletar West Link and Punggol West. Service 117 commenced operations on 20 Dec 2015 as the fifty-first (51st) bus service to be introduced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP). NOTE: From 31 July 2022, 117/M will amend to ply Punggol Field instead of Punggol Central. Service 117 is an alternative travel option for passengers who utilize Service 85 to travel between Punggol and Yishun towns, skipping the Sengkang residential areas entirely. It was the first service to serve new bus stops for the then upcoming developments along Yishun Avenue 1, connecting residents to Khatib MRT. However its route is lengthy in Yishun and Seletar. The service was amended to enhance connectivity in Apr 2016 through an amendment to ply West Camp Rd instead of plying express along Seletar West Link.
