2023 Quilt Along Month 8 - Quilt As You Go with On Williams Street

It's month 8 in our quilt along! As we get into the last few months, I'm going to show you more ways to combine the motifs we've learned and come up with lots of quilting plans by mixing and matching. It simply means we are going to quilt the individual blocks first, then put them all together! When the blocks are attached, you have a finished top and the smaller size of the blocks makes it easier to quilt on a domestic sewing machine. This makes it easy to practice free motion quilting or new quilting motifs and designs without having to worry about a big bulky quilt. As you get better at quilting, you can then move on to bigger quilts until you are comfortable quilting any size on your machine! If you are a beginner quilter, check out month 1 where we start at the basics and also help you set your machine up for free motion quilting. You can use the quilt blocks we designed, or practice these motifs on any quilt.
