Please use less if you want it to be less garlicky. 90 gm/ 3 oz / 1 medium red ripe tomato 420 gm/ 15 oz/ 2 very large or 4 to 5 medium onions 1 dry bay leaf 2 inch length cinnamon stick/cassia bark 3 green cardamoms 1 black cardamom (optional) 5 cloves (discard the seeds) 200 gm/ 7 oz/ 3/4th cup plain unflavored yogurt. Please take out yogurt from refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 2 teaspoons Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tablespoon ground coriander (dhania powder) 1/4 th teaspoon freshly crushed black pepper. Add less if like it to be mild About a teaspoon of salt distributed throughout the cooking process 1 teaspoon sugar (optional) 1 dried red chilli deseeded (optional) 2 whole green fresh chillies (optional) 1 teaspoon Shahi garam masala powder or regular garam masala powder.
