Furthermore, it has been suggested more than once that Dagestan's Caspian coast could become a serious competitor to the resorts of the Krasnodar Krai and Crimea. So we were eagerly awaiting our chance to explore the local beaches. We wanted to see for ourselves what a beach holiday on the Caspian coast was like and whether it was even possible.
