As always, I bought this machine with my own money and spent about 2 weeks using it before publishing this review. My goal with these reviews is simple: to help you figure out whether this machine is the right fit for you. A few things I wanted to mention that didn't fully make it into the video: *My opinion is based on 2 weeks of use. That's enough time to get a good feel for the machine, but not enough to say anything meaningful about long-term durability or reliability. *The Jura E8 comes with three brewing worlds. I tested the Classic Hot Brew and Sweet Foam modes extensively, but I didn't properly test the Light Brew mode. I did try it once, but it wasn't really for me. The coffee temperature felt a bit too low and the extraction resulted in a very mild cup. Maybe that's exactly what you're looking for, but I wanted to mention it because I forgot to include it in the review. *In the video, I wasn't very enthusiastic about the Jura J.O.E. app. My thinking was: if you still need to walk to the machine and place a cup underneath it, what's the point? But while editing the video, I realized there are probably people who would enjoy using the scheduling feature so their coffee is ready when they wake up. If that's something you'd use, the Jura J.O.E. app might actually be a great feature. *I also mentioned that you could consider not using a water filter. If you're thinking about doing that, please check the water hardness in your area first. Whether or not to use a filter really depends on your local water quality, and skipping it is entirely at your own risk. One final confession: after filming the entire review, I realized that my pronunciation of "Jura" isn't exactly correct. Unfortunately, I discovered that a little too late... so you'll have to forgive me on that one. Lesson learned!
