The Black Forest in Germany has long been shrouded in legend, but a journalist’s assignment for a Halloween feature quickly turns those stories into something all too real. What begins as a simple exploration of gothic scenery becomes a study in unease: dozens of abandoned items scattered along the trails, and a massive tree carved with cryptic German warnings… Today’s phenomenal story is ‘The Black Forest Flesh Weaver’, an original work by Augustus Cordoba; shared directly with me via email and read here with the author’s express permission.
