Watercolor Fun - Building Texture with Decoupage Technique

Go to www.everettswatercolors.com and watch LIVE broadcast of Building Texture with Decoupage Techniques. Rough tree bark is an excellent subject to use this unusual technique with watercolor painting. Preparing a textured surface with tissue paper and glue; allowing drying time to produce a dry rough surface. A demonstration of preparing the paper and applying the wet glue is presented. The texture is produced by moulding the wet paper and the glue keeps the shapes and surface rough after drying. Applying various colors creates the look and roughness of the tree bark. The same effect can be used for rough wood on a building or surface of rocks and stone bricks and more. Experimenting with different materials makes this a fun project to see what can be done with watercolor paints.
