DN 76 (E-79): Deva - Brad - Hălmagiu (Aug. 14, 2021)

This video features the southern part of National Road 76: crossing the Metaliferi Mountains between Deva and Brad over the Vălişoara Pass (elevation 459 meters), then running slightly downhill along the wide valley of Crişul Alb river. National Road 76 is a major transit corridor across the Apuseni Mountains linking the city of Deva in the south-east with the municipality of Oradea in the north-west. It has a total length of 184 km and it crosses over two mountain passes: Vălişoara Pass (459 meters) and Vârfurile Pass (635 meters). Until recently, many sections of this road were in horrendous condition (especially the road Oradea - Beiuş in Bihor county), so that driving the entire distance from Deva to Oradea used to be an adventure and a test of endurance. As of summer of 2021, roadworks along the National Road 76 are almost finished, with only a few short sections of the road being in bad condition.
