Wrong Radiator? Rusty Coolant & Fans Not Turning On – Honda Prelude Cooling Fix

In this video, I tackle some unexpected issues with my JDM 1993 Honda Prelude’s cooling system. I remove the old radiator, only to discover it doesn’t match the replacement — even though it was supposedly correct. After comparing both radiators, I transfer the fan shrouds from a donor Prelude, troubleshoot the cooling fan system, and test it using the fan switch. Things get worse when I flush the system and find rust and debris in the coolant. I perform multiple flushes using radiator flush solution, bleed the cooling system properly (including turning the heater on full blast), and finally fill it with fresh coolant. ✅ If you’re working on a 90s Honda or especially the 4th gen Prelude (BB1-BB4), this video will help you understand common cooling system problems and how to fix them. I also go over some quirks of the JDM 4th gen Prelude.
