"I totally oppose this, Mahathir has been a strong vocal opponent of East Timor's independence: this would be a political disaster." Horta welcomes the new Indonesian coalition, but for relations to "normalise" the Indonesians must return Timorese prisoners and bring TNI's Timor Generals to account for human rights abuses.
