This time, I'll take you on a trip to the most historic beach in Tuban. This beach was once an important port during the Majapahit Empire. This beach is located right in the city center, so we don't have to travel far. I'm currently in Tuban, and this is my first time setting foot in this city. So, it feels special. Right in front of the town square is a beach resort, it's called Boom Beach. The ticket price is IDR 5,000. As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted by a relief depicting the history of Tuban and the story of Sunan Kalijaga, the warrior who meditated on the riverbank. Boom Beach is located on the north coast of Java. So, it's not as beautiful for playing in the water as the south coast. This is because the north coast is too shallow and the waves are too small, allowing mud to settle on the shoreline. Are there any beautiful beaches in northern Java? There are so many, it's almost like paradise. But we have to sail first to the smaller islands, which are a bit further out to sea, like Bawean, Karimunjawa, and Gili Labak. Meanwhile, the northern coast, located on the island of Java itself, generally has views like this. So, for tourism, what really needs to be highlighted and beautified is the supporting area. In my opinion, what has been done at Boom Beach is correct, but it's still lacking. The area is very spacious but very shady, making it comfortable for walking even on hot days. And the cleanliness is a plus, But yes, it lacks aesthetic appeal. If it had beautiful and unique gardens, it would be much more attractive. But what's clear is that this place is a great place to relax on a hot day. What really stands out about this place is its history. This port used to be a major route for shipping, trade, and shipping for the Singasari and Majapahit kingdoms. According to historical records, this is where Duke Ronggolawe and his troops attacked the Mongol army, which was attempting to invade the Singasari kingdom. Therefore, it's no surprise that numerous historical objects, such as jars, ancient weapons, and ceramics, have been found in this area, testifying to the former glory of Boom Beach. Around the 1990s, a treasure chest from the ocean was salvaged. At that time, various historical objects were recovered, and these are now housed in the Kambang Putih Museum, located south of Tuban Square. If the decor were more reflective of all that, this beach would be really cool. But right now, Boom Beach is a favorite for fishing. Lots of visitors come here to fish. I think this place would have a great view at sunrise and sunset. But for out-of-town visitors like me, it would be difficult to come at those times. But whatever, this beach is quite a fun place to vacation, because it's right in the city center. So after leaving the beach, we can immediately walk around and enjoy the city atmosphere. Oh yes, one of Tuban's culinary specialties is crab curry. My advice if you want to enjoy it at Boom Beach is to ask the price per portion first. Or look for a food stall with a price list.
