You’d be hard pressed to find better beach camping than this! We tackled Fraser Island's inland track to cross from the busy eastern side of the island to the western side, to what can only be described as pure paradise. Not only was the beach incredible, but the local wildlife absolutely put on a show, with many whales breaching right out the front of camp, and at night you could even hear them from the caravan. We set up right on the beach at Awinya Creek, launched the tinnie for a few days of exploring, and simply soaked up one of the most spectacular beach camps we’ve ever experienced.
