It is a story about love, passion, devotion, desperation and transformation. Both stories have tragic endings, yet so beautiful, so romantic, and timeless. Liang Shan-bo and Zhu Ying-tai, these two lovers could not be together when they were alive. The circumstances kept them from being a couple. Therefore, they chose death. Both of them turned into butterflies. The butterfly lovers finally escaped from the rules of human society and thus were free to love and to be with each other forever and ever.
