Civitas Sancti Tui - William Byrd - Tenebrae Choir, conducted by Nigel Short

This choral piece, 'Civitas sancti, tui', is the second part of William Byrd's composition, Ne irascaris, Domine, and was first published in 1589. A composer of the English Renaissance, Tenebrae often perform music by Byrd, and this sacred motet is a favourite of many of our singers. This video was filmed at St John's Smith Square, London in 2021.
