How to Propagate Variegated Portulacaria Afra/Elephant Bush Successfully. This is a very detailed video that shows you how to cut, propagate a Variegated Elephant Bush or Portulacaria Afra Variegata. I will show you what soil to use, how rooting works, and how to repot using new succulent soil. I'll also be experimenting using two different types of pots, one in a hard pot with side holes, and the other one using a grow bag. I'll be experimenting to see which one has faster growth through air pruning. At the end of the video, I added slow release fertilizer.
