During his studies at Oxford, he joined the Holy Club with John Wesley, cultivating a lifelong friendship. His preaching, marked by fervor and passion, was impossible to ignore, touching rich and poor alike. Inspired by Jonathan Edwards during the Great Awakening, he brought spiritual revival to the masses, setting an example of how to evangelize. George became known for his open-air sermons, where he often preached to thousands. Among his achievements, he led movements that shaped global evangelism, being mentioned in "Heroes of Faith." Despite facing opposition and failing health, he continued preaching tirelessly, often in tears, until his death in 1770, and was honored by Wesley at his funeral.
