Exploring Andalusia’s White Villages: From Cádiz to Ronda | Arcos, Setenil de las Bodegas│Travel
May, 5th; day 9 of our trip through Andalusia: Join us on a full-day adventure through the stunning White Villages of Andalusia! Our journey begins in Cádiz under rainy skies, but the weather soon clears as we make our way through some of the region’s most beautiful mountain towns. We visit Arcos de la Frontera, pass through the rugged landscapes of the Sierra de Grazalema, and spot an Iberian ibex in the wild. Grazalema is also a beautiful village, but we only drove through because we didn't have enough time. A major highlight is Setenil de las Bodegas, where houses are built directly beneath massive rock overhangs—one of the most unique villages in Spain. Our final destination is Ronda, famous for the breathtaking Puente Nuevo bridge spanning the deep El Tajo gorge. After a bit of shopping in the historic center, we hike down a narrow path to the foot of the bridge for incredible views. By the end of the day, we’re tired but filled with unforgettable memories from one of Spain’s most scenic regions.
