In this first impression on The Neckpour, we’re opening Arran Barley 10 Year Old a whisky built around locally grown Arran barley, bringing a real sense of place and provenance to the glass. A bottle I have wanted since I first heard that it was in progress but does that hype live up when the glass is poured. But does that “grown at home” approach actually translate into better whisky or is it more about the story than the spirit? 💬 Do you think locally sourced ingredients make a difference in whisky?
