JetBlue - Embraer E190 - Economy - Burlington (BTV) to New York (JFK) | TRIP REPORT
JetBlue's unique fleet of Embraer E190's have shuttled travelers across the United States (mainly New England) for 20 years, but the airline is finally about to retire the aircraft in 2025. JetBlue surprised the aviation industry in 2003 when they ordered 100 E190's to serve medium-sized markets deemed too small for it's fleet of A320. In terms of passenger comfort you can't beat the cozy 2-2 configuration! But as a low-cost-airline, JetBlue has struggled maintaining the aging Embraers and it's burdened the airline with poor fuel burn and performance. Burlington is Vermont's largest city and home to the state's largest airport. Our flight flew along Upstate New York's eastern border with beautiful scenery during the way south.
