Atlas D Missile Site with Melvin Holsinger
As we approach the Fourth of July weekend, we share a visit by veteran Melvin Holsinger at an Atlas D Missile site he worked at nearly 60 years ago. The City of Cheyenne’s military roots date back to our origin in 1867. In fact, the city was “born” on the same day Fort D.A. Russell (now F.E. Warren Air Force Base) was selected as a site for an Army Post. The City is honored to have strong, local relationships with F.E. Warren Air Force Base and the Wyoming Army National Guard. We send our sincerest gratitude to those who served, are currently serving, and their families.
