Le mucche, a differenza degli umani e di altri mammiferi, non sudano e l'unico modo che hanno di regolare la propria temperatura corporea è aumentando la frequenza respiratoria (ansimando). Le estati maremmane sono estremamente calde e per evitare lo stress da caldo usiamo un sistema di "irrigazione" e ventilazione alternata.
