Airbrake Check: THINK - acronym “GALE” = Governor Cutoff Switch must state,” will engage between 120-140 psi. Air loss: release parking and trailer brake, keep foot on brake pedal, engine off and ignition should be in the “on”position, read air gauge PSI to examiner and hold brake for 1 minute, mention should not loose more than 4 PSI (class A setups). Low Air Alarm should hear and see Alarm before 55psi. Emergency Brake, emery brake valves (parking and trailer) will engage between 45 and 20 PSI. Once emergency brakes engaged, start engine and pull against them. Mention emergency brakes hold. Now build air to the safe operating level (between 90-120 / typically 100psi).
