Finishing Pens with CA Glue
I have been asked several times what my procedure is for applying a C/A glue finish to my pens. This video shows what I do pretty much in real time. I use a thin C/A glue, once applied to the pen blank it dries in 15 to 20 seconds. Generally I apply six coats of glue in sets of three coats at a time with light sanding between coats. If the blank if really porous, I will continue to apply more C/A until I get a smooth surface on the pen. the maximum number of coats I have applied is twelve.
